Terms of Use

Welcome to Rokn. We are a digital platform focused on interactive training, micro-learning, and practical project-building. Please read these terms carefully. Your use of the website or app, or creating an account, means your explicit and legally binding acceptance of these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

1. Core Definitions

For easier reading, here are the terms repeatedly used in this document:

"Platform" or "Rokn": rokn.app, mobile applications, and all services provided through them.
"Company": Rokn for Digital Production and Content, the owner and operator of the platform.
"User": any person who registers on the platform or uses its services.
"Learner": a user who subscribes to courses to benefit from the content.
"Content Provider": the trainer or specialist who delivers training content on the platform as an independent contractor.
"Module": a sub-learning unit within a course.
"Project Badge": technical proof granted to a learner after passing a practical task.
"Ranks": the progressive practical-skill classification system (Learner -> Professional -> Expert).
"Artificial Intelligence" or "AI": automated systems used for module unlocking, project evaluation, and interactive conversations.

2. Nature of the Platform and Certificates

Rokn provides interactive training content aimed at developing professional skills and building a user portfolio.
Project Badges and completion certificates issued by the platform are technical proof of completing practical tasks and gaining skills; they are not official academic degrees or government-accredited credentials.
The rank system (Learner/Professional/Expert) reflects your achievement level on the platform and does not create any legal or employment relationship between you and Rokn.

3. Artificial Intelligence on the Platform

Rokn is an AI-powered platform. This means your experience includes interactions with AI systems at multiple points, and it is important to understand this interaction:

We use AI to evaluate your progress in each module and determine readiness to move to the next module.
We also use AI in interactive conversations to answer your questions and support your learning.
Important: AI is an assistive tool and is not infallible. Its evaluations for unlocking modules or granting certificates reflect completion of course requirements only, not a final assessment of your real-world professional competence.
Any information you receive from AI is for general educational purposes and is not medical, legal, or financial professional advice.
Your AI chats may be logged for service improvement and quality control. Details are governed by the platform privacy policy.
Using AI chats to break system rules, extract course content in redistributable formats, or obtain harmful information is prohibited. Misuse may lead to account suspension.
Never share sensitive information with AI, such as card numbers, passwords, or personal health data.

4. Accounts and Security

You must be 18 years or older to register independently. Minors require guardian approval and supervision, and the guardian bears full responsibility for their platform use.
You are fully responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials (username and password) and all activity under your account.
Account sharing is strictly prohibited. The platform uses systems to detect simultaneous logins from different devices. If sharing is detected, Rokn may immediately and permanently terminate the account without compensation, regardless of remaining subscription duration.
If you suspect your account has been compromised, contact us immediately through official support channels to secure it.
All registration information must be accurate and truthful. Misleading information may result in membership termination without notice.

5. Subscriptions, Payments, and Refunds

All payments are processed through secure, approved payment gateways. Fees are paid in advance for access to content.
If you select a recurring plan, your subscription renews automatically until canceled from account settings before the renewal date. Cancellation becomes effective at the end of the paid period.
Prices may vary by country and currency exchange rates, and are always shown clearly before checkout.
Refund Policy: Due to the nature of digital products and immediate content access upon payment, we offer a No Refund policy once a subscription is activated or a course is purchased. We recommend reviewing course details and content carefully before purchase.
Only exception: in case of duplicate charge by payment gateway error or a clear technical error on our side, the amount is refunded within 14 business days after verification.
If automatic renewal fails due to card expiration or insufficient funds, you will have a 5-day grace period to update your payment method before subscription suspension.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

All content on the platform and app (videos, text, files, designs, interfaces, and badges) is the exclusive property of Rokn for Digital Production and Content and protected by intellectual property laws.
Copying, screen recording, downloading, or republishing any content outside the platform is strictly prohibited. Any violation may result in immediate account cancellation and legal action for damages.
Your subscription grants you a personal, limited license to view content for self-learning purposes only during your subscription period.
Your projects remain your intellectual property; however, you grant Rokn a non-exclusive right to display them on your profile, use them as educational examples, and include them in platform marketing materials with attribution.
If a claim is raised that any displayed content infringes third-party rights, Rokn reserves the right to remove it immediately, even if provided by a content provider, unless valid licensing documentation is provided.

7. Acceptable Conduct Rules

Rokn is a professional learning environment. Publishing comments, projects, or discussions that include abuse, discrimination, or controversial political/religious topics is prohibited.
Using the platform for personal marketing, sending spam, or soliciting learners for external services is prohibited.
Contacting content providers outside the platform for commercial purposes or direct hiring without prior written permission from Rokn is prohibited.
Attempting to hack the platform, using bots to extract data, or any behavior that harms the service or other users is prohibited.

8. Content Providers and Trainers

Content providers on the platform are independent contractors, not Rokn employees, and their relationship with the company is governed by a separate agreement.
Content produced with a provider through Rokn production workflows (Work for Hire) becomes the exclusive property of the company, which may use it for any purpose without additional restrictions.
Rokn is not responsible for any transactions or disputes between a user and a content provider that occur outside the platform.

9. Disclaimer

We provide the best tools, curricula, and practical applications. However:

Rokn does not guarantee that you will obtain a job, promotion, or specific financial outcomes as a result of using the platform. Your success primarily depends on your effort, commitment, and skill application in the market.
The platform and services are provided "as is" without express or implied warranties regarding error-free operation or uninterrupted availability.
Rokn is not liable for decisions you make based on information from educational content or AI conversations.
In all cases, Rokn total liability toward any user does not exceed the amount actually paid by that user to the platform during the 12 months preceding the claim.
Rokn is not responsible for disruptions or delays caused by events beyond its control (force majeure), such as internet outages, power failures, natural disasters, or sudden government decisions.

10. Privacy and Data Protection

Collection and use of your data are governed by the Rokn Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these terms.
Rokn complies with applicable data protection laws in countries it serves, including Egypt Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020, Saudi PDPL, and UAE data laws.

11. Account Suspension or Termination

Rokn may suspend or terminate your account immediately and without prior notice in any of the following cases:

Sharing the account with another party.
Violating intellectual property rights (copying, screen recording, republishing).
Using the platform for unauthorized commercial or advertising purposes.
Publishing abusive, inciting, or conduct-violating content.
Attempting to hack the platform or misuse its systems.
Failure to pay due amounts on time.
You may terminate your use at any time by closing your account from settings. In all termination cases, intellectual property terms, liability limits, and governing law clauses remain in effect.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
In the event of any dispute, both parties shall first attempt an amicable settlement within 30 days from the notification date.
If amicable settlement fails, Cairo Economic Courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over the dispute.

13. Amendments

Rokn reserves the right to amend or update these terms at any time.
Users will be notified of material changes by email or a prominent in-app notice before they take effect within a reasonable period.
Your continued use of the platform after amendments constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Amendments do not apply retroactively to disputes that arose before their effective date.
